Hearings and Vision Screening

All New Kindergarten and First Grade Students:

In accordance with state law, all new students enrolled at the school will be screened for hearing, vision, speech and communications, and health or medical problems, and for any developmental disorders.

If the results of any screening reveal the possibility of special learning needs, the school will conduct further assessments in accordance with Chapter 3313 of the Revised Code.

These screenings are necessary for academic success. It is important for parents to know that screenings are not a substitute for regular medical/vision examinations.
